Blind Stamping

A ‘blind stamp’ is very simply an impression made (of your artwork) directly into the card using a pre-made die, leaving a subtle 3D image. The principle is the same as the hot foil blocking process, but for this type of stamp we don’t use a coloured ink foil. The same effect can be achieved using a transparent foil, which can add a matt or gloss finish to the final design.

There is a one-off cost to produce the die. Production generally only takes a couple of days, so you could be receiving your personalised boxes sooner than you think.

Hot Foil Blocking

Hot foil blocking or foil stamping is an easy way to create personalised boxes. A company logo, brand or text can be positioned on the lid or side face as required. At Stitchedboxes, this is done through the manual application of a metallic foil through heat transfer, which leaves behind the design. As the process is performed by stamping a die* on to the cardboard box material the effect leaves a striking 3D impression.

There are hundreds of colour options to choose from; available in metallic, satin, pigments, holographs and pearl. Textured micro-structures can also be applied to add depth, light and movement to your designs.
